Position Summary
As a Part-Time Deposit Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our Finance team by managing daily deposit activities, ensuring accurate and efficient cash handling, and maintaining tight internal controls to support financial accuracy at our HQ.
Duties and Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:
Receive, verify, and prepare daily cash and electronic deposits, documenting with accuracy
Reconcile deposit balances with records in accounting systems and resolve any discrepancies
Assist A/R team members and respond to staff inquiries regarding deposit posting or discrepancies.
Track and follow up on outstanding reimbursements, ensuring timely resolution.
Maintain confidentiality of financial data and follow record-keeping best practices.
Perform root cause analysis of recurring discrepancies to recommend procedural improvements.
Adhere to corporate policies, compliance standards, and internal controls governing financial processes.
Preform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in deposit processing, banking, or A/R operations—preferably in dental, healthcare, or related field.
Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organizational skills required.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently within a part-time schedule.
Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with financial systems (experience with HRIS/financial platforms is a plus).
Prior experience handling sensitive financial data with integrity and confidentiality.
