Position Summary  

Actively seeking a motivated Dental Billing Specialist located in Oak Park, IL. As a Dental Billing Specialist you will be responsible for collecting balances and account reconciliations of insurance and patient balances. Daily responsibilities include insurance billing, data entry, and tracking payments. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and administrative skills and excel at multi-tasking. This role is in-office, with the option of 1 remote day per week! 

Duties and Responsibilities 

The duties include, but are not limited to: 

  • Audit charts 
  • Submit claims 
  • Enter insurance payments 
  • Follow up on outstanding claims and patient balances 
  • Address patient balances 
  • Work closely with individual office managers to successfully bill to the insurance companies 
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned 

Qualifications 

  • Associates Degree preferred  
  • MS Office Suite proficient (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) 

Knowledge and Skills/Expected Competencies 

  • Data entry 
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated 
  • Dental billing experience 
  • Knowledge of dental codes and/or dental insurance preferred 
  • Knowledge of accounts receivables and insurance policies/benefits preferred
