Position Summary
The Vice President of Clinical Services provides strategic leadership for clinical operations across ProSmile's network of affiliated dental practices. This role partners with the Chief Dental Officer, Chief Specialties Officer, Chief Compliance Officer, affiliated providers, and operational leaders to drive clinical quality, regulatory compliance, provider engagement, and practice growth while ensuring consistent, patient-centered care.

Duties and Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:
Clinical Leadership and Strategy
- Develop and execute clinical strategy, standards, and best practices across affiliated practices.
- Promote evidence-based dentistry and best practices to enhance patient outcomes and provider performance.
- Serve as a clinical advisor to executive leadership on quality, patient care, and provider development.
- Lead initiatives that support organizational growth, clinical excellence, and operational performance.
Clinical Quality and Compliance
- Establish, monitor, and continuously improve clinical quality assurance programs.
- Develop and oversee clinical policies, protocols, and standards of care.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, licensing, OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control requirements.
- Lead clinical risk management activities and investigate clinical concerns, adverse events, and patient complaints.
- Support accreditation and regulatory readiness across the practice network.
Provider Engagement and Development
- Partner with dentists and specialists to promote clinical excellence and consistency.
- Oversee provider onboarding, mentoring, credentialing support, and continuing education initiatives.
- Support provider recruitment, retention, and professional development.
Practice Support and Operations
- Collaborate with operational leaders to improve clinical workflows, patient experience, and performance.
- Provide guidance on clinical staffing models, productivity, treatment planning standards, and patient care initiatives.
- Evaluate clinical performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support practice integrations, acquisitions, and expansion of clinical and specialty services.
Growth and Innovation
- Identify opportunities to expand clinical programs, specialty services, and patient care offerings.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, treatment modalities, and clinical innovations for implementation across the organization.
- Support strategic initiatives related to growth, acquisitions, and practice development.
Data Analytics and Performance Management
- Develop and monitor key clinical performance indicators.
- Analyze trends in patient outcomes, treatment acceptance, provider productivity, and quality measures.
- Present clinical performance reports and recommendations to executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Utilize data-driven insights to improve clinical and business outcomes.
- Ability to travel and periodically work within clinical environments while observing all safety and infection control requirements.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school required.
- Minimum of 10 years of clinical dental experience.
- At least 5 years of progressive leadership experience within a multi-site dental organization, DSO, group practice, or healthcare organization.
- Demonstrated success leading clinical quality, provider development, and organizational growth initiatives.
- Experience supporting multiple locations and geographically dispersed teams preferred.
- Current unrestricted dental license in good standing.
- Ability to obtain licensure in states where the organization operates, if required.
Knowledge and Skills/Expected Competencies
- Deep understanding of clinical dentistry, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong leadership and change management skills.
- Experience working within a DSO or multi-location healthcare environment.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen.
- Ability to influence providers and operational leaders without compromising clinical autonomy.
- Experience implementing clinical technology, performance improvement programs, and provider development initiatives.
